my apprenticeship

Every year, Meredith Corporation, an American media conglomerate based in Des Moines, Iowa, hosts several college students from different universities under an apprenticeship program. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to fill one of the two open positions.

Throughout the apprenticeship, I worked with producers, editors and photographers in different settings: office, studio and photoshoot locations. I worked on two major magazine titles under Better Homes & Gardens, including Best of Flea Market Style and Do It Yourself.

Redesigned the magazine from fonts to layouts, which established the new design standards for this brand.
Worked on stories and photoshoots to create content.
